Vinayaka Chaturti Celebrated at Srimatam - 11 Sep. 2010

Vinayaka Chaturti (Ganesh Chaturti) was celebrated at Srimatam on September 11, 2010. Immediately after the Nitya Tripurasundari Sametha Sri Chandramouleeswara Puja, His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji performed the Ganesh Puja.

In the evening, the Nitya Deepa Puja was followed by the traditional event of 108 coconuts being broken and offered to Lord Ganesha, in the immediate presence of Their Holinesses Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji and Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji. The visiting Kashmiri Pandits too participated in the ritual. This was followed by the Syamantaka Mani  Upakhyana parayanam.
